Through nourishing ourselves in the way that best matches our individual constitution and many life needs we can reset our whole system to one of health and well being.
Our relationship with food and the way we eat can be an expression and act of self-love. It can be a positive aspect of our life.
The goal of Whole Foods Nutrition Counseling is to help build and establish a healthy relationship with food and self-nourishment as well as an optimal way of eating for you that is based on your individual nutritional and life needs. In this process we will assess and evaluate your current dietary and nutritional profile as well as certain lifestyle and emotional factors that contribute to the relationship and habits we form around food and eating. We will do this from the perspective that the food we eat and the relationship we have to it can be therapeutic and directly affects and determines our physical, emotional, mental and energetic health.
This approach to Nutrition Counseling is not a one size fits all method and the process will be slightly different for each client. This is based on each person’s history, present situation, health goals, nutritional needs and readiness to make changes in their own life and practices. One of the main goals is to help the client gain the knowledge and understanding of what a whole foods way of eating is, what the benefits are, and how to best apply that knowledge and consciousness in their own health and life. You will learn how to modify or augment that depending on the season and your nutritional, emotional and energetic needs throughout the different phases we go through. We will come up with solutions for areas of stress, obstacles, and health inhibitors in relation to your nutrition and in relation to the application of balanced eating. We will formulate an ongoing comprehensive plan that is unique to you that will help create a bridge between where you are and where you want to go.
This work is centered around the belief that we all deserve to be nourished and we all deserve to have that work within the reality of daily life. Eating in the way that best supports our health and that of our family can be simple, accessible and effective. Together we will come up with the best way to make this happen day to day, taking into consideration all the real life realities we all deal with and balance.
