The Winter Qigong Intensive Series

January 8-March 11th, 2016, 1:30-3:30pm

Our winter series this year is the most advanced and most intensive Taoist qigong training Kellie has ever done.  This is the series you don’t want to miss.
This winter, we will focus on ancient Taoist nutritional and qigong methods for regulating the “Second Brain.” In classical Taoist medicine, the Gut is considered the second brain, because it is responsible for producing many of the neurotransmitters that our “First Brain” consumes.  In this way, our Gut is the producer, and our Brain, the consumer.  Many mental/emotional issues arise from a producer imbalance, but often it is the consumer that we think is the problem.  Further, the Second Brain is involved in creating healthy digestion, balanced blood sugars and blood fats, regulating neurotransmitter activity, generating healthy metabolic function, and optimizing brain function.
This intensive program will be a gentle method of digestive regulation and organ systems balancing.  It will involve some very gentle cleansing for the Liver, and will work to alleviate many Digestive and Mental/Emotional imbalances.  If you have any problems with weight loss, digestive issues, food allergies, mental / emotional issues, depression, anxiety, diabetes, High blood pressure, hyperlipidemia, or skin conditions, this class is a must.
The class will be held at the HHAC community room on Friday afternoons, 1:30 – 3:30pm.  Jan 8th – Mar 11th(10 weeks).  There will be a meditation portion, and a nutritional education portion, plus 4 qigong forms, (3 short, and 1 mid-long) of standing movement.  There will be homework each week and take home handouts for your reference when working at home between classes.  We will have a short Q&A discussion in class each week as well.
Other qigong practitioners who have applied these simple and gentle methods, in the way they are intended, have lost up to 4 inches off their waste within a 12 week period. They have had significant changes in mood regulation, and in digestive complaints. These methods are gentle and relatively easy.  They only require consistency of practice.  There is no hard-core exercise requirement.  There is no need for any typical “cleansing or fasting.”  There is no need to stress.  It’s just a simple and effective gentle application of ancient Taoist qigong principles.
This will be like nothing you have ever done before.  I can’t wait to see who comes on this amazing journey with me this winter!!!
As always, come with a notebook and pen, a comfortable sitting coution, and wear loose fitting comfortable clothing with socks to class please.
There will not be a drop in or monthly rate for this class.  To take the class, you must attend the whole series.
