Dr. Craw’s approach to medicine is rooted in the belief that healing is most effective when we look at the whole person—not simply the symptom that brought someone through the door. His work brings together the strengths of both Western and Eastern medical traditions, with an emphasis on individualized care, root-cause investigation, and helping people feel more comfortable and capable in their own bodies.
That perspective began early. Growing up largely outdoors in the beautiful landscapes of Montana and Idaho, Dr. Craw developed a lasting appreciation for the natural world. His mother’s interest in folk medicine also sparked an early curiosity about traditional approaches to health and healing. Over time, those influences grew into a career in naturopathic medicine and acupuncture, informed by both evidence-based medicine and longstanding healing traditions.
Dr. Craw sees the body, mind, and heart as interconnected parts of the healing process. He works with patients to understand the physical, behavioral, and lifestyle factors that may be contributing to their symptoms, then develops a treatment plan tailored to the individual. His goal isn’t simply to make symptoms go away, but to understand why they are happening and identify practical ways to support better health and function.
His professional path has been anything but conventional. His experience includes service in the United States Navy, where he held a leadership role in physical fitness, as well as extensive yoga training in Indonesia. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Contemplative Psychology, with an emphasis on mindfulness-based psychotherapy and embodiment practices, before pursuing graduate training at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM).
Following his naturopathic medical education, Dr. Craw completed advanced training in functional gastroenterology with Steven Sandberg-Lewis, ND, and a two-year residency emphasizing primary care, orthopedics, and chronic pain management under Margaret Beeson, ND. His clinical toolkit includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, lifestyle and behavioral medicine, craniosacral therapy, and regenerative injection therapies such as prolotherapy and platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
What ties these diverse areas of training together is Dr. Craw’s interest in helping people understand their own health and participate actively in the healing process. He wants patients to feel heard, respected, and empowered—and to leave their visits with a clearer sense of both what may be happening in their bodies and what they can do about it.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Craw enjoys writing music, playing soccer, skiing, and hiking with his wife and their dogs.
